PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and easily executable base isolation structure having a tensile force preventive structure for restraining tensile force to laminated rubber. SOLUTION: An upper structure 12 is supported on a lower structure 14 via the laminated rubber 16. Plural cable materials 18 for connecting the upper structure 12 and the lower structure 14 are tensioned along an outer peripheral part of the upper structure 12. At this time, the length of the cable materials 18 is set sufficiently long to a horizontal directional allowable relative displacement quantity of the upper structure 12 and the lower structure 14. A damper 22 is arranged between the upper structure 12 and the lower structure 14 for absorbing horizontal directional relative vibration of these structures.
