PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel screen device allowing a user to freely vary the opening and closing form. SOLUTION: The screen device 10 includes a frame 12 and soft strips 14 arranged in parallel and in plural steps within the frame 12. The interval between adjacent soft strips 14 is variable. Rotating elements are inserted between adjacent soft strips 14 and the element portions 18b of the rotating elements maintain the interval between the adjacent soft strips 14 and 14. Openings 26 are formed between the adjacent soft strips 14 and 14 and the pattern of the openings can be variously changed.
