PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a central ventilation type building facilitating installation, inspection, etc. SOLUTION: A ventilator main body 61 constituting a central ventilator 6 ventilating the first floor part 3A is provided in the space under a staircase part 71A. A sufficient working space can be obtained and thereby the work of installation, inspection, etc., of the main body 61 (central ventilator 6) can be facilitated. By providing the main body 61 in the space under the staircase part 71A, besides, a dwelling space is not limited even when the main body 61 is large, and the space under the staircase being the dead space in a unit type building 1 can be utilized effectively.
