Window comprises a window frame (1) having an upper part, a lower part and two side parts forming a frame plane, and a leaf frame (3) hinging on the window frame. The leaf frame can be moved using an operating device. A rotating connection between a receiving element (6) of the operating device and the frame is located at a right angle to the plane of the frame and is structured so that a rotating element assumes a position before opening the window and remains in this position until the leaf frame meets the window frame.
