The disc has a casing with two wings projecting on either side of a central section made to contain a mini-CD Rom or similar having a diameter of under 80 mm. The wings are designed to fit into a CD Rom reader drawer, supporting and centering the mini-disc, and the casing can be injection moulded with a thickness below the Red Book standard to reduce the wing thickness and reduce manufacturing time. It has a hole in the middle for the upper support of an optical reader. |
