PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for voice data retrieval which can interactively retrieve voice data even from an electronic book composed of text data and XML data. SOLUTION: The voice data retrieving device has such sections as for an automatic space arrangement processing for generating three-dimensional space arrangement data by analyzing the hierarchical structure of the indexes of a book, etc., and automatically arranging the items of the indexes in a three- dimensional space, relative position calculation processing for calculating relative coordinates as data on distances between viewpoint coordinates and the respective items in the three-dimensional space arrangement data, acoustic synthesizing processing for generating synthesized voice data by attenuating the sounds of the voice data of the respective items according to the distance data on the relative coordinates and putting them together, and visualization and sound reproduction processing for visualizing the three-dimensional space arrangement data and reproducing the synthesized voice data. |
