PURPOSE: A circuit for diagnosing a function of a mobile communication terminal is provided to increase the convenience of a user by enabling a mobile communication terminal to make a diagnosis of a frequency diversity unit of the mobile communication terminal, by enabling the terminal to display a message relevant to a failure, thereby enabling the user to easily recognize the failure without checking the unit in detail. CONSTITUTION: A frequency diversity unit(10) is composed of a VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator,2), a VC-TCXO(Voltage Controlled Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator,3) and a PLL(Phased Locked Loop,4). A mobile station modem(1) checks whether there's a failure in the frequency diversity unit(10) by checking a lock state of the PLL(Phased Locked Loop,4) of the frequency diversity unit(10) in case that the power is turned on. A display unit(5) receives a signal relevant to the state of the frequency diversity unit(10) checked from the mobile station modem(1). In addition, the display unit(5) displays messages relevant to the state of the frequency diversity unit(10).
