PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear reactor pressure vessel capable of avoiding the interference between a nozzle and a reactor shielding wall in the dismantlement and removal or replacement thereof. SOLUTION: This pressure vessel is provided with a nozzle base part 17 the outer edge of which is welded to the drum part 1 of a pressure vessel body 3, a nozzle stub 18 continued to the nozzle base part 17 and protruded out of the pressure vessel body 3, and a thermal sleeve 21 arranged coaxially within the nozzle stub 18. The whole circumference of the end closer to the outside of the pressure vessel body 3 of the thermal sleeve 21 is fixed to the inside surface of the nozzle stub 18 by a weld swollen part 20 to contract the dimension in the radial direction of the pressure vessel body 3 of the nozzle 16, so that the nozzle 16 is not inserted to the opening 8 of the reactor shielding wall 9.
