PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device that prevents drastic temperature rising or the like of a heating medium, accompanying the drastic change of thermal load. SOLUTION: The heating device is provided with a burner (4), heat exchanging means (heat exchanger 6), temperature detecting means (temperature sensor 28), control means (main control unit 80 or the like), radiating means (radiators 51-57) and the like. Combustion of the burner is controlled according to the detected temperature of the heating medium. When the temperature rising of the heating medium per unit time exceeds a given value, such an action is taken as to lower the fuel supply rate of the burner to a given value or below. Thus temperature rising of the heating medium accompanying the drastic change of the thermal load can be avoided, and further local boiling caused by the reaction velocity delay of an FB control, or occurrence of overshooting can be prevented.
