PURPOSE: Provided is a square shaped secondary battery capable of reducing the cost of manufacture and increasing productivity. CONSTITUTION: The square shaped secondary battery comprises a cap plate(6) which is welded to an upper opening of can containing a power generating element; withdrawing terminal(80) comprising head part(80A), a connection part(80B) and coking part(80C); and a terminal tab(160) which is connected to one electrode of the power generating element. The coking part is inserted in coking hole(160A) and connected to the hole by coking.
