The cell for holding of materials designated for transplants comprises a compression-fluid container also housing the holder of the sample immersed in physiological fluid. Also claimed is a process utilizing the cell. The process keeps the biological-material sample at below 0 degrees C for a long time without freezing and at high pressures. The cell, with pressurizing and thermostating systems, withstands pressure of up to 250 MPa and temperature of +30 to -30 degrees C.
