PURPOSE: A three dimensional color portable type ground penetrating radar and a detection method are provided to obtain a depth and a location of a buried material in the ground based on an electronic wave which is a function of time and space coordinates and reduce an attenuation of a wave. CONSTITUTION: Four transmission antennas(11,12,13,14) emit electronic wave to the ground. A receiving antenna(15) receives an electronic wave reflected in a location having an electric feature different from that of a peripheral medium and measures a reflecting angle and a delay time of the electronic wave to calculate three dimensional coordinates parameter with respect to a reflecting location of the electronic wave. A radar detector(10) protects a circuit line between the four transmission antennas(11,12,13,14) and the receiving antenna(15) and emits/receives the electronic wave in the ground to obtain a three dimensional coordinates parameter of a buried material in the ground. A connector(20) transmits the three dimensional coordinates parameter of a buried material in the ground obtained by the radar detector(10). A terminal(30) combines the three dimensional coordinates parameter to obtain a three dimensional shape.
