<p>A treating apparatus for treating a material to be treated which contains polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins or forms polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins by heating, wherein it comprises a gas-tight chamber for heating the material to be treated and an electromagnetic field applying zone having a magnet provided in the route for discharging a gas which connects the gas-tight chamber with a vacuum pump for evacuating the interior of the gas-tight chamber. The degree of freedom of motion of gas molecules derived from the material to be treated is lowered by the magnet, and the probability that polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins are synthesized is suppressed to a low level by mass separation.</p> |
