<p>β-Lactam compounds represented by the following general formula [1], pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof or nontoxic esters of the same wherein R1 represents lower alkyl, etc.; R2 represents H or lower alkyl; X represents O, S or NH; m and n are each 0 to 4; Y1 represents halogeno, etc.; and Y2 represents H, optionally substituted lower alkyl, etc. These compounds show an excellent antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria, in particular, methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococcus aureus.</p> |
