<p>A liquid crystal display apparatus comprising a liquid crystal panel constituted by sandwiching a liquid crystal between a first transparent substrate having data lines and a second transparent substrate having scanning lines crossing the data lines, a data line drive integrated circuit connected to the data lines, and a scanning line drive integrated circuit driving the scanning lines is characterized in that the data line drive integrated circuit is mounted on a first transparent electrode substrate, and the scanning line drive integrated circuit on a second transparent substrate, and in that an oscillation power source integrated circuit for oscillating the power source potential of the scanning line drive integrated circuit with a constant amplitude according to an AC signal for driving the liquid crystal is disposed by direct mounting on the first or second transparent substrate. This constitution enables the low power consumption, miniaturization, and cost reduction of the liquid crystal display apparatus and results in an improvement in the reliability of a product with many merits in design and manufacture.</p> |
