LAMINATE FOR PACKAGING MATERIAL

A laminate which comprises an outer layer comprising a paper layer and superposed thereon an inner layer comprising, superposed in this order, a barrier layer, an adhesive layer, a polyethylene layer containing a copolymer of a polycyclic olefin, and a layer of linear low-density polyethylene produced with a metallocene catalyst, wherein the layer of linear low-density polyethylene being the innermost layer of the inner layer. The laminate is useful as a packaging material for liquid foods, etc. which has at least a paper layer and a barrier layer disposed on the inner side thereof. The packaging material gives a packaging container having satisfactory shape retention and excellent suitability for opening.
