The invention relates to a method for the indirect and direct thermal treatment of free-flowing rubber and plastic waste, in particular of used tyre granulate. Said waste passes through a vertical pyrolysis reactor (1) from top to bottom and is simultaneously heated to a method temperature in the range of 400 to 950 DEG C, in such a way that pyrolysis reactions take place in an interior reactor (1.8). The method is characterised in that the reactor is heated to the method temperature, both indirectly by a preheated gas being applied to the exterior surface of the interior reactor and directly by a permanent gas that is fed into the interior reactor (1.8), said waste being rapidly heated to the predetermined method temperature, as soon as it enters the interior reactor (1.8). The invention also relates to a device and to a jet condenser, which can both be used in the inventive method. The invention further relates to an installation for carrying out the inventive method. |
