The actuator for an adjustable motor vehicle mirror has a housing (2) to receive an electric motor drive for a mirror carrier (3). The carrier can tilt about two axes mutually at right angles. The carrier is mounted in a bearing (16) opposite the drive housing and receives a bearing head (17) on the carrier. The bearing faces are part spherical (21) to allow rotation of the carrier opposite the drive housing.
