The door lock (1) for a motor vehicle has a lever and a lock cylinder directly connected to lock a door (2) handle (3) and lock the vehicle door in response to the rotation of the lock cylinder. The lever has a lock rotor directly connected to the cylinder and carrying a lever. An input shaft of the lever assembly (12) is connected to its output shaft at an angle. The angular position is taken through the connection between the rotor and lever.
