Frame system for wall or ceiling regions of buildings comprises posts (1) and profiles forming crossbars (2) connected to the posts by a connecting element to form a T-joint. The connecting element is an essentially U-shaped crossbar clip (17) having two holding arms (19, 20) joined by a cross arm (18) to produce a slit-like opening in which the crossbar is directly or indirectly held via a further crossbar clip (17') arranged on the crossbar. An Independent claim is also included for a connecting element for T-joint connections used in the above frame system. Preferred Features: The crossbar is inserted with one of its holding arms (6) into the opening of the crossbar clip pointing in the longitudinal direction (22) of the post.
