PURPOSE: A rice cooker is provided to make the upper edge section of a pot housing section more hygienic and easy to clean condensed water dropped on the upper edge section of the pot housing section, cooked rice grains or oil mist and dust. CONSTITUTION: A rice cooker has a bottomed cylindrical pot housing part(1a), an upper rim(1b) of the pot housing part expanding from the pot housing part, the body supporting the upper rim part of the pot housing part with the outer circumference, and forms an outer circumferential wall surface part(1c), a pot(2) detachably housed into the pot housing part, and a lid(3) placed on the top surface of the body to cover the top surface and openable or closable by wrapping the pot. A body cover(13) made of a metal is arranged on the upper rim part of the pot housing part of the body.
