The device for protecting a person sitting in a vehicle involves a seat (5) with a back part (7) and a protective device (6) activatable to extend forward from the back part to form a movable protection (8) acting as a side support for the upper body of a person. With the use of a safety belt which runs diagonally across the chest of a person, there is one shoulder which is not held by the belt. The protective device therefore protects the non-belted shoulder. |
