<p>A method of allocating transmission resources to a User Equipment (UE) at a Radio Network Controller (RNC) entity of a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) comprises allocating transport (dedicated or common) channels to the UE, and switching between allocated channels, on the basis of parameters which are specifically allocated to that UE. The parameters may be dynamically modified in response to previous passage of data into and out from the UE.</p> |
