The damper comprises a receptacle (1) for the battery attached to a holder (4) on the vehicle with decoupling pieces arranged between two wall regions of the receptacle and the holder. One decoupling piece (5) is arranged on each battery side. Each decoupling piece allows movement of the receptacle w.r.t the holder (4) in the Z direction and substantially prevents movement in a perpendicular direction.
