PURPOSE: To provide a reflective liquid crystal display device with which no yellowish white color is displayed in white displaying and a method for manufacturing the same by preventing reflected light from getting yellow-tinged. CONSTITUTION: In the reflective liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal layer 12 held between a lower side substrate 11 and a counter side substrate 13 placed opposite to each other and making incident light Li from the outside be reflected by a reflection electrode 19 arranged on the lower side substrate 11 so as to make a display light source, the contact surface between the lower side substrate 11 and the liquid crystal layer 12 is formed flush state so as to make respective distances between the countering side substrate 13 and the reflection electrode 19 or the lower side substrate 11, on which the reflection electrode 19 is formed, be uniform.
