PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided to achieve improved radiation performance by uniformly distributing cooling water all over the heat exchanger core. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger comprises a pair of left and right headers(1,2); a pair of left and right tanks(6,7) installed outside the left and right headers; a plurality of tubes(3) interposed between the left and right headers; fins(4) disposed between tubes; and a cooling water inlet pipe(25) and a cooling water outlet pipe(26) installed to left and right tanks, respectively. The cooling water inlet pipe has a height(H1) 0.1<=H1/H<= 0.4, and the cooling water outlet pipe has a height(H2) 0.6<=H2/H<=0.9, with respect to a height(H) of left and right tanks.
