PURPOSE: An apparatus for transplanting rice plants is provided to reduce a whole volume of the apparatus and to improve the convenience of manipulation and handling thereof. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for transplanting rice plants comprises a transplanter(5) constructed to perform vertical reciprocating movements for transplanting rice plants in fields, and a collector(43) for transferring the rice plants collected from a rice plants bed(90) transplanting device to the transplanter located at the underside thereof. In such construction of the apparatus, a driving mechanism(D1) toward the transplanter is disposed at one side of the body of the apparatus and on the other hand, a driving mechanism(D2) toward the collector is disposed at opposite side of the body, thus an operating relation between the driving mechanism and each corresponding component can be simplified.
