<p>The invention concerns a method for making a metallic sheet rim for a motor vehicle wheel which consists in: cutting a metallic sheet blank to obtain a rectangular shape; bending the blank to obtain a cylindrical hoop; welding together the two free edges of the hoop, carrying out at least a cylindrical flow turning to obtain a profile with specific thickness for the hoop comprising constant thickness zones adjacent to variable thickness zones; carrying out a cutting process normal relative to the axis of the hoop of at least one lateral edge of the hoop; profiling the hoop to obtain the rim; and calibrating the rim.</p> |
