PURPOSE: A defatting equipment of a strip grinding line is provided which prevents contamination by separating a defatting tank into upper and lower parts so that they are opened or closed, thereby separating each of rolls mounted on the defatting tank from a strip when the defatting tank is not used. CONSTITUTION: In a strip grinding line comprising a plurality of grinder cabins for grinding the strip(200) that is being uncoiled from an uncoiler, a defatting tank and a dryer for removing a grinding oil on the surface of the strip(200) passing through the cabins, and a recoiler, the defatting equipment of the strip grinding line comprises an upper tank(10) in which the defatting tank is put on the upper part of the strip(200) on the basis of the strip, a lower tank(11) in which the defatting tank is put on the lower part of the strip on the basis of the strip(200), and a rotation means for selectively closely adhering the upper and lower tanks(10,11) onto the strip(200), wherein the rotation means comprises vertical members(41), link members(42) and a driving cylinder(43), and the defatting equipment of the strip grinding line further comprises a recovery part comprising a drain line(60), an alien material receiving can(61) and a recovery line(62) so as to recover a washing solution.
