PURPOSE: To improve quality of image of the display image by suppressing the X shifting by thermal effects on the color selection mechanism of the cathode-ray tube and moreover by making GH appropriate, and thereby increasing the tolerance against the deterioration of images, such as color slippage. CONSTITUTION: The support spring member 1 of plate spring-shape for supporting the color selection mechanism in the cathode-ray tube is formed by a material, which has a larger coefficient of thermal expansion than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the frame member 3, constituting the frame of the color selection mechanism.
