PURPOSE: A monitor elevating apparatus for multi-functional desk is provided to reduce space for installing the apparatus and to simplify structure thereof, as well as to restrict modification of the desk and to ensure active power transfer. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a monitor housing passing through a hole of a top plate; a keyboard movable forward and backward secured to a desk; a guide shaft(40) and a rod(30) at both sides of a floor panel; a fastening plate(50) movably up and down along the guide shaft(40) to support the shaft(40) and the monitor housing; a driving shaft(60) mounted on a driving motor(80); a sprocket rotatively supported at the rod(30); and a driving chain(70) connected to top and bottom portions of the fastening plate(50) at both ends, respectively.
