PURPOSE: Provided are an electroluminescent polymer having fluorene, which has high solubility for an organic solvent and has excellent electroluminescent property, and an electroluminescent element using the electroluminescent polymer. CONSTITUTION: The electroluminescent polymer is represented by the formula 1 or the formula 3 as a copolymer comprising the monomer of the electroluminescent polymer(formula 1) and the monomer of a PPV, wherein X1 is C1-C40 aliphatic alkyl or alkoxy, C3-C40 alkyl substituted silicon, X2 and X3 are each hydrogen, C1-C40 aliphatic alkyl, branched alkyl, cyclic alkyl or alkoxy, and etc., X4 and X5 are each C1-C40 aliphatic linear alkoxy, branched alkoxy or cyclic alkoxy, and a/(a+b) is 0.1 or more and 0.9 or less. The PPV monomer is 2,5-bis(chloromethyl)-4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)anisole or bis(chloromethyl)-1-dimethyloxy-4-methoxy benzene. And the electroluminescent element has a luminescent layer containing the electroluminescent polymer composition.
