PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus as a toilet for a pet readily and quickly cleanable without the necessity for a person to approach excreta of the pet. SOLUTION: This apparatus as the toilet for the pet comprises at least a round basin for sand, a cleaning unit for covering a prescribed region of the basin and an electric motor. The cleaning unit and the basin are composed so as to be movable relatively to each other so that the cleaning unit or the basin can be rotated around the vertical shaft passing through the center of the basin. The driving force of operations between the basin and the cleaning unit is obtained from the electric motor. The cleaning unit is intended to clean sand and is provided with a frame and a means used for separating excreta from the sand and fixed on the frame. The apparatus is characterized by arranging all the necessary constituent elements of the cleaning unit above the basin. |
