<p>A main rope elongation compensating device for elevator, wherein a rotatable adjusting sheave (6) coming in contact with a main rope (3) is disposed displaceably between a drive sheave (1a) and a deflector wheel (2), whereby, because the adjusting sheave (6) is allowed to displace, the length of the main rope (3) between the drive sheave (1a) and the deflector wheel (2) is varied so as to absorb the elongation of the main rope (3).</p> |
