Electrical machines (5, 6) are connected to a sec. cell battery (10) via a control lead (9). One machine (6), has a reaction shaft (11) giving auxiliary power, the other machine (5) being in motor operation. One machine (5), in generator operation mode, engages a drive connection with one of the remaining two shafts (input shaft 12, driven shaft 13) of the power distribution drive (7). The shafts of the latter are mechanically connected to the electrical machines non-rotationally, using a controllable clutch (14). Both machines (5, 6) form a common drive motor (15) or a common generator (15') via the locked power distributor drive (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - Type hybrid drive developed to give low losses and power increasing electric drive, also generator operation with high power regeneration. |
