PURPOSE: To provide a label affixing method and device wherein the cost required for affixing a label can be reduced without using a release sheet. CONSTITUTION: The label affixing device consists of a coating machine 20 which applies a pressure sensitive adhesive 3 to a label raw sheet 1S composed of a label material only, while the sheet 1S is being delivered, a die cutter 40 to cut a label 1 out of the sheet 1S coated with the adhesive 3, and a label affixing machine 50 to affix the cut label 1 to a packaging film sheet 2S. The sheet 1S is composed of a label material only and has no release sheet, and hence label affixing costs can be reduced.
