The invention concerns electrically controlled pliers for handling, clamping, flanging workpieces or similar operations, comprising mobile jaws (1, 2), an electric motor (5) driving in rotation a threaded shaft (6) and an assembly guiding and controlling the mobile jaws (1, 2) comprising a nut (7) screwed on the shaft locked in rotation. The invention is characterised in that the assembly guiding and controlling the jaws (1, 2) further comprise a transducer generating, when it is energised with an electric current, a temporary magnetic or electric field during each clamping phase, said transducer being integral with the nut (7) and coupled with one of the jaws (1, 2) such that said jaws (1, 2) of the pliers are clamped on the workpiece (A) located between them when said transducer is energised by an electric current. |
