The station for loaded pallets (2) is placed for convenience in loading the pallets onto lorries. There are rails or tracks (3) for guiding the pallets which may be 4 to 5 pallets high. The pallets may be handled on the 'first-in-first-out' principle. The ends of the rails (3.1) may be aligned with a shelf-loading vehicle. An empty goods station (4) may be arranged near the first station, with tracks (5) at right angles to the tracks on the first station. There is a collection track (6) for unsorted pallets and a set of sorting tracks (7.1,7.2).
