PURPOSE: A method for controlling reverse power in a mobile system is provided to minimize the power consumption of a mobile station by adjusting the power control step according to the state of received frames, in the case of processing a data service call. CONSTITUTION: A mobile system judges whether bad frames exist(S111). In case that bad frames exist, the system stores the number of frames that failed to pass the CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) in counter2(S113). Then the system judges whether counter2 is larger than a given value(counter_th_2)(S115). If counter2 is larger than the given value, the system increases a power control threshold as much as the product of the number of allocated frames by a threshold adjusting value(up_threshold_1)(S117) and transmits a power control step increase message to a mobile station(S119). However, in case that counter2 is not larger than the given value(counter_th_2), the system increases the power control threshold as much as the product of the number of bad frames by the threshold adjusting value(S121) and initializes counter1 as "0"(S123). |
