Crimp contact for circuit boards

The crimp contact (1) has flat base (2) with solder connection (5), which passes through a recess in the circuit board. Clamping shanks (7,8) provide crimping contact and tension relief for the cable strand. The connection part (5), containing coupling section (4) and the clamp section (6), supporting the clamping shanks, are separate. The clamp section so protrudes from the circuit board as to be freely accessible to the crimping tool.
