The invention refers to a control unit, communicatively connected to at least one sensor by means of a communication interface, for use in a security system. The control unit is connectable to an external unit by means of a communication network. Further the control unit is arranged to continuously send status messages based on status information from the sensor to the external unit and arranged to continuously poll the external unit to check if the external unit comprises information to be retrieved. Further, the invention refers to a combined smoke- and IR-detector, which may emit both fire alarm and burglary alarm. The sensors are mounted on a printed circuit card and arranged on different sides of the printed circuit card. The sensors are arranged to permit a 360 DEG free inlet of smoke/gas and at the same time to provide a free view for the IR-sensor. |
