The invention relates to a safety and/or comfort device in a passenger transportation means, whereby at least one sensor is integrated inside a surface of the passenger transportation means with which the body of the passenger to be transported is imperatively in contact. This sensor detects at least one parameter that is representative of a body function of the passenger to be transported. The measurement signal of this sensor is integrated in a regulating or control circuit of the safety and/or comfort device.
