A method for the heat treatment of metal components (18) consists of heating the components in a treatment chamber (2) of a furnace (8) and then quenching them by immersion in a cooling liquid directly in the heating enclosure without having to displace them. An Independent claim is also included for the heat treatment device used to put this method into service.
