PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoothing apparatus capable of smoothing a material to be printed by a method for politely handling the material. SOLUTION: The smoothing apparatus comprises an air passing opening 8 communicating with a flow passage 9 for bringing about a pressure state for forming a strip groove projecting into a smoothing groove 7 on the material to be printed when flow occurs by a motion. In order to politely smooth the material, the apparatus comprises an opening 11 communicating with guide surface zones 2.9.1 and 2.9.2 so that compressed air is made to act in a throttle passage at its operating time.
