PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably transfer books from a supply surface to a destination by means of a vacuum chuck. SOLUTION: In this book transfer device 10, a weight support part 17 is provided to be synchronized with pulling action of the vacuum chuck 13 when the book 1 is pulled by the vacuum chuck 13 to move along a pulling passage of the vacuum chuck 13 for supporting weight of the book 1 between the supply sourced and the destination.
