PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact basin by which a large washhand area is secured in use and a large room space is secured in no use by dividing the basin into a fixed part and a movable part. SOLUTION: The basin consists of the fixed part 2 on its deep side and the movable part 3 on this side and the connecting part of a drain pipe (drainage port 11) is provided at the part 2. The part 3 can be moved between a using position and a retreated position. Thus, the part 2 and the part 3 are integrated in use to secure the large washhand area at the basin. In no use, the movable part is moved to the retreated position to make the whole basin compact. Since the drain pipe is connected to the part 2, the drain pipe and its connecting parts remain in fixed state without moving and without being damaged with moving.
