PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming member having excellent resistance to penetration of liquids and wrinkles caused as a result while providing a smooth appearance and a touch feeling of a fibrous base. SOLUTION: This image-forming member comprises at least one image layer and a base containing a cellulose paper the surface of which is impregnated with a water-dispersible ester-based condensation polymer and has the surface of the base having Ra<2.03 μm of roughness and >500 s of hydrophobicity when measured by 40/20 Acid Valley test.
