<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase platelet yield by improving the conditions of dynamic flow of blood through a circumferential flow process chamber for separating blood constituent in a rotation field. SOLUTION: An inlet port (68) for allowing whole blood to flow around a rotational axis in the circumferential direction to separate the blood is arranged near an end of a chamber (76). An outlet port (72) for transporting platelet-rich plasma which is separated from the chamber (76) is arranged parallel to the port (68). Heavy blood cells move toward a high-G wall through the chamber (76) and to a collection region (124) near the other end of the chamber (76), and come out of the other outlet port (70) through an internal path (124) partitioned in the chamber (76).</p> |
