PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the frequency of maintenance for a seal member by effectively preventing damages or the like to the seal member attached to the door body. SOLUTION: A protective member 20 is installed in a slidable manner to a sloped surface 12 at the lower end portion of a door body 10 of the slide gate along the sloped surface 12. The protective member 20 is made displaceable at an operating position where the lower portion is projecting out downward from the lower end edge and an evacuation position where the lower end portion is flush with the lower end edge of the door body or above the end edge of the door body. In this way, in a state of the operating position, the protective member 20 is pushed out to the upstream of a seal member 16 attached to a lip portion 14, thereby preventing the collision between the seal member 16 and trash.
