PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel chemical luminescent system usable for a display unit. SOLUTION: A catalyst component-supporting base material to be luminescent is contacted to a solution containing an oxalate, a fluorescent material and hydrogen peroxide or a fluorescent material-supporting base material to be luminescent is contacted to a solution containing an oxalate, a catalyst component and hydrogen peroxide.
